FAQ’s

What can excessive heat do to a battery?

Heat has a major role in killing or damaging batteries as it causes batteries to work harder. When exposed to excessively high temperatures, batteries can stop functioning, bulge, bubble, create sparks, damage your devices or cause them to blow up. Excessive heat can also shorten your battery life.

How to maintain a lead-acid battery?

Check the battery water levels with a level indicator and top up your battery whenever required. Make sure you always fill your battery with distilled water and not normal water as the latter can damage your battery. It’s equally important to charge your battery cells evenly. Use an equalizing charger to charge your battery cells equally. Keep your battery clean as acid, dirt and dust can cause leakage.

What is the shelf-life of a VRLA battery?

Sealed lead-acid batteries have a design life from a minimum of 3-5 years to a maximum of 10 years. There are a lot of factors that play a role in the service life of a battery, including temperature. We recommend checking your batteries every 3 months and charging them if necessary.
